Dear Sigma Iota Kappa Chapter Members,

The Iota Kappa Chapter of Sigma at Gwynedd Mercy University is pleased to announce a call for nominations for upcoming leadership roles. Serving in a chapter leadership position is a meaningful way to contribute to our mission of advancing nursing scholarship, leadership, and service.

We are currently seeking nominations for the following positions:

Open Positions

President-Elect
Term: August 1, 2026 – August 31, 2027
This role supports chapter leadership and transitions into the President position at the completion of the term.

Treasurer
Term: August 1, 2026 – August 31, 2028
Responsible for oversight of chapter finances, budgeting, and financial reporting in alignment with Sigma guidelines.

Governance Chair
Provides leadership and oversight of chapter governance processes, including bylaws review, policy alignment with Sigma requirements, and ensuring adherence to organizational standards and reporting expectations.

ABSN Counselor
Serves as a liaison and support for Accelerated BSN student members, promoting engagement and chapter involvement.

Leadership Succession Committee Member 2
Assists in identifying, mentoring, and developing future chapter leaders to ensure continuity and sustainability of chapter operations.

We encourage members who are interested in leadership, professional growth, and advancing the work of Sigma to consider self-nomination or to nominate a colleague.

Nomination Process
Please submit nominations, including the nominee's name and position of interest, to Jenn Brown at brown.j@gmercyu.edu by February 27th. Self-nominations are welcome.
